  • McCartney Cemetery is where most of my maternal grandfather's family members are buried. He was not. His name was Barney McCartney, my grandmother Tura (T) McCartney and mother Carol McCartney Robertson Bryant along with me and my younger brother Tommy Robertson all attended a memorial day cleanup there with lots of other family members.

Hate to say how long ago that was. But I will be 77 on June 29, 2017...and was too young to do anything but swap mosquitoes and cry to go home when I attended the family cemetery cleanup.

When interstate I 759 was built they had to reroute the original plans because of the cemetery. Just a little Etowah County history. Patsy Robertson Christopher Ogden.
